On average, women make up about 43 percent of the agricultural labor force in developing countries. Evidence indicates that if these women had the same access to productive resources as men, they could increase yields on their farms by 20 to 30 percent, raising total agricultural
output in developing countries by 2.5 to 4 percent, in turn reducing the number of hungry people in the world by 12 to 17 percent.
We are empowering rural women to create a self-sustainable business model in the way of fish farming and related activities. Some women can create a small bio flick tank wherefrom they can earn some amount by only investing some fish and feed. We are promoting JLG of women who can utilize the village ponds and start fish farming on that waterbody. Lots of small roadside waterbodies remain idle which can be cleaned for fish farming and utilized. Small funds will be sufficient for this kind of fish farming with natural feed. Women can run small roadside restaurants with some preparation of fish with very small funds. For the marketing of fish to the local area, women can start a small stall with very nominal capital.
